Mustio castle was built as the main building of Mustio ironworks in 1783-1792. It was restored in 1985-1994 to the condition of 200 years ago. The main building is a museum, and the other buildings are currently used as a hotel and restaurant.

Olkkala Manor has been the most important and biggest manor in Vihti. The main building has been remodeled to the original appearance recently. It is used as a cafe and restaurant, and the old main building serves as a museum nowadays. Olkkala Manor is the only manor which is currently open to the public around the area.

Suitia Manor Castle in Siuntio is one of the most famous manor houses in Finland. The castle was built in the 16th century. It is owned by the State, and used by Helsinki University at present. Guided tour is available by appointment.

Turku Cathedral is the National Shrine of Finland, and is more than 700 years old. The monumental tower of the Cathedral has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, and it is a symbol of Turku city. The Cathedral has graves and memorials of many important persons in the Finnish history. There is also an ecclesiastical museum in the Cathedral at present.

The building of the National Museum of Finland is a magnificent monument of the National Romantic era. The wall paintings in the central hall were painted by Akseli Gallen-Kallela in 1928, and they depict stories of the Finnish national epic Kalevala. The various collections exhibit Finnish history from prehistoric times to the present day.

The Cathedral is a part of the Empire-style center of Helsinki designed by Carl Ludvig Engel. The first design was drafted in 1818, and the work was taken over by E.B. Lohrmann after Engel's death in 1840. The church was finally completed in 1852.

The Neo-Gothic Church of St. John was dedicated in 1891. As opposed to the massive appearance with red bricks, wooden parts are important elements of the interior. St. John's Church is the biggest church in Helsinki, and a popular place for concerts due to the excellent acoustics.

The history of Turku Castle dates from the 1280s. It has been enlarged several times during the centuries, and became a massive castle. A major extension began in the 1550s. The castle has been reconstructed to be a museum after 1941 when it was destroyed by fire due to the bombing during the war. Turku Castle is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Finland at present.

The Old Church of Karuna is one of the oldest preserved wooden churches in Finland, and is an example of oblong church without tower. In order to transfer oil paintings of the church, the whole building complex was transferred to the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum in 1912. It is one of the most popular wedding churches in Helsinki nowadays.

The Church of Hollola is one of the biggest medieval stone churches in Finland. One of the numerous statues in the church represents the battle of St. George and a dragon. The church is decorated with wall paintings, and stained glass by Lennart Segerstrale from 1929. It is a popular wedding church nowadays.

The history of Soderlangvik Manor dates back to the 16th century. The present appearance of the main building dates from the 1930s, and currently the manor serves as a museum with a collection of early 20th century Finnish art. The building is surrounded by a large garden with 7000 apple trees, and the manor is the biggest apple orchards in Finland.

The main building of Vanajanlinna is a British-style Castle built of luxurious building materials which were collected from all over the world. It is surrounded by a large park, and an avenue of double-lined oak trees leads to the main building. Vanajanlinna is located by a lake in Hameenlinna.
